Graduate students in Dr. Shepard’s Structural Acoustics Laboratory have been working on projects related to fuel-cell acoustics and dynamics, vibration isolation, structural damping, and noise and vibration control. In addition to gaining experience on state-of-the-art instrumentation, including the Polytec Scanning Laser Vibrometer, students have the opportunity to use different types of simulation software, like COMET® Acoustics.
